The memory of the Roma holocaust as presented through exhibitions: Éva Judit Kovács, Anna Lujza Szász, Katalin Tímár, Moritz Pankok. Moderator: Tímea Junghaus.(English language discussion)
The participants will examine the exhibitions and artistic solutions which define the present-day representations of the memory of the Roma holocaust. It will explore the representation strategies used within the framework of the grand holocaust exhibitions to display the Roma-related sections. We will seek answers to questions currently engaging researchers worldwide such as the lack of original objects at exhibitions, the problem of photo and reproduction, or the analysis of the gap between the online Roma holocaust accounts and the narratives of the exhibitions.
